One of the major problems of home owners and the authorities is the fact that there are birds that cause harm to humans. Their droppings can be a health hazard. Moreover, these droppings can also take the beauty of the buildings away. Their nests can block gutters and chimney, which can cause damage to the roofing system, and worse, can block the air flow in the house. Since they are considered to be pests, they have to be taken away and should be rid of. Doing it on your own could be a strenuous and difficult job. So there are a lot of people who would rather hire bird proofers from bird control companies. These bird controllers know just what to do to these birds.

There are several ways on how to get rid of these birds. One of the ways is by using bird proofing systems. These proofing systems are physical barriers which prevent the pests in going near the area. There are three ways in doing so. The first one is with the use of bird nets. The bird netting system is good for a big range of area. This system covers the whole place, which prevents the birds in going to the area. However, the problem is the smaller pest birds can still go inside. Again, this is ideal for bigger places.

The next system is the usage of bird spikes wherein they are placed so that the birds would not land there anymore. These spikes are glued in place and come in various sizes depending on the birds that you want to get rid of. You may place these in gutters and in chimneys and you can be sure that they will surely not land there anymore because these are definitely painful.

The last bird proofing system is the bird wire. This system cannot be seen right away and it prevents the birds from landing. The wires are made of aluminum. The birds do not like to stand on them as they may feel uncomfortable in doing so.

There is another way of controlling these birds and it is called the bird deterrent systems. This system discourages the bird to land on, especially on places that have problems already.

The first type of deterrent system is a gel that that gives off an ultraviolet light and is considered to be harmful for the bird’s eyes. This could be distracting to them so they will surely not try landing on them. Second, is the avis hock where in it gives a low level electrical pulse to the birds that land on the roofs.

In summary, there are ways on how to keep the pest birds away. If you do not know how to do it on your own, you can try hiring a bird control company who has the right equipment for your needs. There are two types of systems that you can ask and these are the deterrent systems and the bird proofing system.
